One of the best five restaurants in Amritsar !
Recently opened in Amritsar, Wine & Dine by Pilade Khilade will surely bring up a revolution in Amritsar’s food industry. With food quality similar to a 5-star restaurant, yet the prices nearly that of a 3-star outlet, the place deals with a USP of serving quality food even for the middle and upper-middle-class people. In the past two months, the restaurant has successfully established itself as one of the best five.
AMBIANCE
Other than the food, the only thing that attracts a customer is the ambiance. Better the ambiance, better the pictures, happier the times and more the recommendations. Well, this place knew it all. With a selfie wall, a swing and a mini fountain right on the entrance made me curious to explore this restaurant as soon as possible.

This place is not just a fine dining experience but you can also have some hardcore parties, kitty parties or visit with your friend to enjoy a quarter. Yes, with seating of up to 150 people, special arrangements for kitty parties, a minibar, and a DJ floor, Wine & Dine leaves no chance of disappointment.

FOOD AND DRINKS
So I happened to be here today with a bunch of my friends and as I mentioned above, the ambiance just made me fall in love with this place. It feels so honored entering such a place. I was satisfied to see my friends clicking pictures at the selfie wall, some of them getting mocktails done at the minibar and some enjoying their meal.
We ordered quite good types of dishes. Beginning with mojitos and blue lagoon mocktail, We ordered the following –
- Indiana Pizza (Veg)
- Strawberry Crush
- Vegetable Pasta (Twin Sauce)
- Bharvaan Mushroom Aam Papad
- Badami Brocolli
- Jacket Potatoes
- Paneer Dunhaar
- Chicken Gunpowder
- Wonton & some other type of soups
- Daal Makhani
- Paneer Angrezi
- Afghani Cream Chicken
- Garlic, Plain and Butter Naan
- Sizzling Brownie
- Paan Kulfi
- Chocolate Phirni
So this list would have made it clear that what a big foodie, I and my friends are. In the next paragraphs, I will be describing each of their food and drinks in brief.
Beginning with the starters (skipping the drinks as they are what we all have tried many times from multiple places), the gunpowder chicken was such a drool. Included in Chinese cuisine, the dish was very cooked, sauces used were in 100% appropriate ratio and this was the CRISPIEST chicken I would have ever tried. Highly impressed. 10/10.

Next comes the Indiana Pizza. Prolly the thinnest crust pizza you would have ever tried. The crust was crispy and well cooked. The topping was perfect. Fresh and soft enough to be easily chewed. However, I felt cheese lacking a bit. Ignoring that one fact, the pizza was amazing. 4.5/5.

Talking about Bharvaan Mushroom Aam Papad, it was the most unique concept ever. I have tasted many fusions but this one was such a delicacy. You might be thinking how can mushrooms and aam papad even be relatable? Well, guys, Wine and Dine did it and they did it perfectly. You could feel the mushroom melting in your mouth, leaving behind the purest essence of aam papad! Worth a try. 5/5.

Next is my favorite, the Paneer Dunhaar. Paneer softer way more than I ever expected with a pure tandoori flavor. I was amazed to be at a restaurant serving everything next to perfect. 5/5.

Let’s come over to the main course now, We ordered two types of veg and one type of nonveg meal. Daal Makhani, Paneer Angrezi, and Afghani Creamy Chicken. The Daal Makhani was the creamiest I have ever tasted. It might not be liked by all, but being a Punjabi, for me, more butter, cream, and ghee, tastier it is. 5/5.

The Paneer Angrezi was my next pick. Now you might be thinking what kind of name it is? Paneer and angrezi? Well, It is because this paneer has olives in it which gives it a slightly different flavor from the normal desi tadka. It was delicious but could have been better. 4/5.

Ending up with the Afghani Creamy Chicken and a few types of naan. The chicken won my heart! Tender and juicy. Neither too spicy nor too spice less. The gravy was thick and creamy was another add on. Naans were soft and made the overall dining experience a very rememberable one. Without any doubts, 5/5 for both chicken and naan.

And this is how our plate was looking. Here I present to you all the main course items altogether. Get your tastebuds ready.

But then, no meal ends without desserts. And when it comes to Amritsar, Phirni is the most popular, all-season and all-time favorite sweet dish. But at Wine & Dine, you sadly don’t get a normal Phirni. You get the chocolate Phirni! I was so overwhelmed hearing this from the staff. Another fusion. Rich chocolate and traditional Phirni. How could I have let that go? I tried it the very first and fell in love. It was freshly prepared and was not set yet but the taste was just amazing. 5/5.

Multiple people mean multiple cravings. Not everyone would be fine with chocolate Phirni, so here comes the Sizzling Brownie and Paan Icecream.

I hope you guys now know why I mentioned it as one of the best five in Amritsar. So whenever you are planning a trip to Amritsar, do not miss out WINE & DINE BY PILADE KHILADE !
